No adventure is guaranteed to be more fanscinating than taking an unbelievable look at our bodies. A body with more nerves
and cells and more harmony than science can hope to match. Every human being has a 3-pound organ-our liver. It is called upon to
carry out over 500 jobs in a person. Hopefully without a hitch.
The liver is located beneath our ribs and stands guard over chemicals which come into the body. If not were for the liver,
coffee, nitcotine and alcohol would killl us. However, too much alcohol can create a problem called cirrhosis and could even ruin
the liver. If our liver ever stops working, we will each be dead in 8 to 24 hours.
Not only does it fight off the harmful effects on our system, but also it stores up the good things. Our liver will hold important
vitamins as A,D, B. That is the reason why eating the liver from animals is so good for us. The health-giving iron is
also kept available in this organ. Our sugar level is maintained the same way.
Some people abuse their livers by the things they eat and drink, but the liver can take a lot. For instance, if disease destroy
85% of our liver, we could still go on living and the tough little organ would do the job. It is capable that given time and good
health it wouldn't be too long before the liver cells would grow back the large part it lost.
The liver also makes an excellent medicine chest Its small factory produces something called globulin which stays busy tackling
diseases when they enter the body.
If we didn't take good care of our liver it could develop acute and subsequently chronic live pathologies like:
Chronic liver disease
Hapatomegaly
Primary liver cell carcinoma
Obstructive liver
Liver abscess
Liver cirrhosis
Fatty liver
Liver failure
